I would recommend NOT using these memory modules. Now all works well again.
I received it very quickly. I removed my 1 GB module from my MacBook Pro and installed this 2 GB module quite easily.
I purchased this 2 GB non-Apple Memory Module from PNY for about 1/3 the cost of the same 2 GB memory module from Apple. I did this 4 or 5 times before I got smart and pulled this 2 GB module and re installed my original 1 GB module back into my Mac.
After I restarted my Mac, it would run for about 10-30 minutes then freeze up. I would have to do a hard re-boot, and again it would run for 10-30 minutes then freeze again.
I returned the 2 GB back to the mfg and they gave me a full refund. Go to Mac and get the real thing.
It was still a huge improvement over my previous 512MB. My only problem is that I ordered two. White Macbooks will only recognize up to 2GB, but it is better to have 2 slots of 1GB each than to have 1 slot with 2GB. Gave the extra one to my mother-in-law, so I still scored major brownie points. Easy to install (about 15 minutes) and it came in original packaging.
Got the product in no time, but upon repeated attempts at installation, my MacBook still wouldn't power up. As soon as I get a return authorization, I will return it. Off to the Apple store.

Originally these Rams were purchased for a Macbook (bought two) and they didn't work as I later found out that one of them was faulty, but I also have a toshiba satellite with an intel core 2 duo T5600 1.83ghz processor and a 1GB ram, I just removed one of the 512 chips and replaced it with one of these and my computer started up normally (thats what it should do if everything was alright) and had a 2.5GB ram.I could really notice the difference instantly.it was alot faster in everything.Once I found out which one was the faulty chip it worked on the MAC also.The 4 stars is because of the faulty one that they sent me, im just going to order three more pieces to upgrade the two laptops.I think that this is a quality product with a good price.
